13 Regional Plus - Priscila Almeida

    Hometown:  Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

During one of her matches as a player, an ESPN commentator referred to this coach as “the talker” and we quote “does not stop talking volleyball”.  This is the best description for our 13 Regional Plus coach, Priscila Almeida. Coach Priscila talks volleyball nonstop. Whether its indoor volleyball or beach volleyball, she knows the game very well and she shares every bit of her exceptional knowledge. She has been coaching since 2015 at Little Rock Juniors and runs PCA Beach Volleyball.  She has been very successful, earning numerous trophies and medals with her 12’s, 13’s, 15’s and 16 year-old teams. In 2019 Coach Priscila was nationally recognized by USA Volleyball as the 2019 USAV Female Coach of the Year!  She is the lead coach in our Future Stars program that focuses on learning and building volleyball skills and fundamentals through easy to remember keys, competitive drills and games in a high energy environment.

From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Coach Priscila has been playing volleyball (Indoor and Beach) since 1999.  She helped her team win ten State Championships and three second place finishes in National tournaments. In 2008, she played for Brazil’s National Team which won the South American Tournament and where she was named ‘The Best Libero of South America.’  She played professionally indoor for three seasons and beach for two seasons.

In 2015, Coach Priscila played for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she broke the record for the most digs in a single season in the history of Little Rock Volleyball.  She was twice named Defensive Player of the Week in the Sun Belt Conference. Coach Priscila graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and now works full-time at Garver. Coach Priscila still plays in AVP Next Beach Volleyball tournaments all over the U.S. Some of the results include a championship in Houston-2017, and Second and Third places in Dallas, Houston, Chicago and Nashville 2017/2018.

13 Regional Red - Nedima Kamberovic

      Hometown:  Zivinice, Bosnia-Herzegovina

Coach Nedima Kamberovic has been with our club since 2016 serving as an assistant coach and head coach at various age groups. She also assists with all our positional training sessions. She is one the nicest and kindest coaches. She is very excited for the upcoming season and enjoys watching the players grow towards becoming not only great athletes but also great people.

Coach Nedima is in her third year as a hitter for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock volleyball team.  Before coming to Little Rock she was named the Player of the Federation and the Best Junior Hitter in the Federation in 2013.  She played for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Qualifier for the 2018 World Championship.  

13 Regional White - Katie Moore

Hometown:  Sherwood, AR

This will be Coach Katie’s first year coaching for Little Rock Juniors. She is very excited to have the opportunity to coach the 13 regional team. Coach Katie played volleyball for Sylvan Hills since the age of 12. During high school experience she also played club volleyball for Little Rock Juniors. One of the many things she enjoys about volleyball is the competitive spirit and the ability for players to express themselves in a healthy environment. For this season she plans on showing the players that they can enjoy sports, as well as, exhibiting hard work and proper volleyball skills. 

LRJ 13 White (League) - Cassidy Brady

Hometown: Benton, Arkansas

Coach Cassidy is a former Little Rock Juniors player and we are so excited to have her return as part of our coaching staff!  She is a two-time all-state honoree at Benton High School.  After graduating in 2018, she spent one year at Southern Miss where she was named to the President’s List before transferring to be closer to home.  Coach Cassidy is a sophomore player for the Little Rock Women’s volleyball team.

LRJ 13 Red (League) Maile Levy

Hometown: Encinitas, California

Coach Maile Levy is looking forward to her first season with Little Rock Juniors.  Coach Maile  played high school volleyball at San Dieguito Academy where she was a two-time team MVP. She was also named Offensive Player of the Year.  Coach Maile played for the well-known volleyball club from California, WAVE and she is currently a Freshmen for the Little Rock women's volleyball team.
