17 National - Todd Bourdo

    Hometown:  Muskegon, Michigan

Coach Todd Bourdo has been a successful club coach for over 34 years and has led numerous LRJ teams to many national competitions over the years. He has been with our club since 2001 and has been an instrumental part in promoting the growth of volleyball in Central Arkansas. The outstanding service Coach Bourdo provides to the volleyball community earned him the 2007 Meritorious Service Award from the Delta Region. Moreover Coach Bourdo has shaped and developed players in becoming tremendous student athletes on and off the court!  With over three decades of coaching experience he plays a vital role not only in the success of our club, but in the success of all the players he trains and develops.  He is also known to give the best high fives! We are so excited to have him as an integral part of our club and we will not hide it! 

Coach Bourdo is currently the Associate Head Coach at University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Since joining  the program, Coach Bourdo has helped the Trojans pick up 15 All-Sun Belt selections, 40 Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week honors, four Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year awards, one Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year award, one Freshman of the Year award, three AVCA All-Region Team honors and two AVCA All-American Honorable Mentions. He also helped the 2014 team go 30-5 overall with the best undefeated record in Sun Belt Conference history at 20-0 while also assisting Little Rock to its first-ever AVCA ranking at No. 24 and to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.


17 Regional Plus - Reyes Cordero

     Hometown: Arecibo, Puerto Rico

Coach Reyes Cordero began with LRJ in 2018 as an assistant coach for multiple teams.  He also assisted with conducting practices, assisting in tournaments with coaching and statistical information, assisted with the setter trainings and as assistant coach in our beach program.  Pretty much anywhere you looked last year, you likely saw Coach Reyes leading or assisting within our program.  His great personality and knowledge of the game make him a coaching favorite among the players.

Coach Reyes played for the Inter-American University of Arecibo in Puerto Rico as a setter. Later he moved to the National University College team where he also played as a setter. He started his coaching career in a community program where he coached the 15’s division and adult leagues. After coaching in a community program, Coach Reyes had the opportunity to coach in a private club in Arecibo, Puerto Rico where he coached the 13’s and 16’s divisions. His philosophy is to implement the most modern techniques in volleyball and create a healthy, disciplined and fun environment. Coach Reyes is also a volunteer coach for 5th grade at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.  He holds an associate degree in Criminal Justice, an associate degree in Dental Assistant and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. 

17 Regional - Gustavo Herrera

     Hometown:  Little Rock, AR

Coach Gustavo Herrera begins his first year with Little Rock Juniors this season. He previously coached two years for Southwest Christian Club. Coach Gustavo has always been a fan of the sport and has been playing recreational for about 3 years. He played in the Benton Volleyball League where he and his team won first in the league and he is currently playing in the Conway Volleyball League. Coach Gustavo is very eager to start the season and begin working with his team.
