Little Rock Juniors has competitive travel teams in age divisions 12-18.
These teams will practice two times per week and will participate in at least six or more two day tournaments. Some teams may also participate in up to two additional national qualifier tournaments which may be three day competitions. Practices will start early December. Teams will break for 2 weeks in December for holidays and will resume practices in January, finishing up their season each year normally in the month of April. Some teams may elect to extend their season through June or July to compete in the National tournament(s).
Players trying out for a competitive team are not guaranteed placement on a team.
Players are expected to be in attendance at ALL practices and tournament events.
Tryouts for team placement will be held on October 21, 2018 for ages 10 - 14 and on October 28, 2018 for ages 15 - 18. Date and times for tryouts are posted on the Tryouts page.
This program is perfect for players who have already participated on a school or club team and for ages 10-12 those that have completed at least one Future Stars session.
There are two travel levels for competitive teams. National teams will compete in National Qualifiers and will travel outside the Delta Region. National teams will participate in eight tournaments; Regional teams will compete in 6 tournaments during the 2019 season.

Our club's focus is on providing each athlete with a positive learning experience on a physical, mental, social and competitive level. We believe strengthening these qualities is necessary to build skills, self-confidence, team unity and will contribute to the overall development of junior athletes.
Our coaches are invested in your success as an athlete. To reach our training goals for you, we need each player to understand the commitment required by the athlete, not only to yourself, but to your coach and fellow teammates when participating on a competitive club team. Atttendance at all practices and club events is expected.
Learning proper fundamentals is key to future success. For the beginner or advanced athlete, proper training, skill building, learning advanced techniques and gaining valuable experience is essential to success. We train athletes from the entry level player to the elite athlete. We want them to be able to compete at the highest level possible, whether it is working to make their junior high or high school volleyball team, winning a state championship, or aspiring to play in college.

Little Rock Juniors offers a scholarship program to provide athletes an opportunity to learn and grow in the sport of volleyball despite financial barriers.
Who can apply? Anyone can apply that meets the criteria and is trying out for a competitive/travel club team. (Regional or National)
When is the application deadline? The scholarship application form should be completed and submitted prior to your tryout date but no later than three days from your team commitment. We also ask that you submit a short personal statement of why you think your child should be considered for a scholarship award.
How many scholarships are available? The number of scholarships awarded is based on the amount of funds available each year and will vary from season to season. When funds are depleted then aid will not be available.
What Determines Need? Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need and not athletic ability. Financial need will be determined by household income, which is evaluated with the previous year’s tax return of the parent(s) with which the player resides and the current Federal Poverty Guidelines Chart (200%).
What does the scholarship cover? Scholarships are awarded to offset the amount of club fees only, and do not include any amounts for hotel or travel expenses. A limited number of scholarships are available each season and may be offered as full scholarships or partial scholarships.
Scholarship Award Info:
Applicants must attend Little Rock Juniors tryouts and be placed on a team. The applicant’s USAV membership must be current and proof of membership is required.
